Karen hawkins the prince who loved me free download

Some of her stories have been beautifully told and ones that I have read multiple times. I like how many of her stories are set in Scotland; it always seems so beautiful, the perfect place for love to happen. This time, Hawkins attempted to do a take on Cinderella, but for me it fell flat.

This stemmed from a lack of real chemistry between the two main characters. I was much more interested in the other love story happening in the book. For me, the attraction between Aleksey and Bronwyn never sizzles. He is supposed to be intelligent and well read but he doesn't attempt to woo her through such means aside from giving her a book. I didn't see why she was so infatuated with him either except for the fact that he was supposedly very beautiful I was disappointed in this book because I know the author can do so much better.

Unfortunately for him his Grandmother is ready for him to end his flirty love them and leave them ways and find a wife so he can start a family. Alexsey is forced to go to Scotland and does everything in his power to make himself unavailable to any marrigible Miss on the marriage mart and runs into Bronwyn Murdoch, the last woman his Grandmother would ever want him to marry and the perfect woman to set his sheets and heart on fire.

I loved every moment of this book. Bronwyn Murdoch was a woman that was very ahead of her time. She was outspoken, assertive and was not afraid of being herself. The interaction between Alexsey and Bronwyn was great. I laughed so hard at some of Brownyns actions and seduction plans. The story does have a Cinderella feel to it but I honestly felt like it was so much more. This book showed that it was ok to love someone not classically considered the status quo.

It showed how love can empower you so much that you take a chance and make the choice to have love and lose that love than to let it just pass you by never knowing what could have happened. It showed the beauty of living, having dreams and how wonderful it can be to have those dreams come true.

The ending of the book was very good, I was definitely surprised. I must admit I cried, laughed and had a great time on the journey that Karen Hawkins brought me on.
